A brand-new $15,000 team event comes to Breach the Bay 2 — the debut of Riftbound, the League of Legends TCG, on the San Mateo floor. Recruit a trio, cover every domain, and battle three boards at once.
$180 early-bird / $200 per team — only the captain pays. Registration is open now.
Every squad fields three champions across three boards. A single trio can span all six Riftbound domains — here's the shape of a matchup.

Team Trios is its own beast. Four rules shape every match on the floor.
Every squad is exactly three players. Recruit your trio and register together — one banner, three seats.
Across your three decks, all six Riftbound domains must be represented. No gaps in the rift. Build a legal team ↓
Your three players sit side by side and play their boards simultaneously — take the majority to win the round.
No two teammates may bring the same Battlefield. Every board on the table has to be different.
Every Legend commands two of the six domains. A legal team covers all six, with no overlap.
Pick your first Legend.
Six rounds on Day 1 decide who comes back. Day 2 is single elimination — lose once and your weekend is done.
Every figure below is paid to the team, not to each player — split it however your trio likes. These are guaranteed minimums, and the pool grows as more teams register.
The ladder above is the floor, not the ceiling — the pool grows as teams register, and we announce every increase. If more than 128 teams enter, the cut expands to a Top 64 and payouts for 33rd–64th are announced at the cut.
A guaranteed $15,000 prize pool paid to every team that reaches Day 2, topping out at $2,100 for the champion trio. Every payout is per team, not per player, and the published ladder is a minimum — the pool grows with registration.
Riftbound Team Trios joins the cEDH 25K headliner and the $3K Legacy & Premodern Opens — pushing Breach the Bay 2's total prize pool to over $45,000 across the weekend.
Riftbound Team Trios is one headliner of many. Two days, one floor in San Mateo — cEDH, eternal Magic, artists, vendors & more.
