Six rounds of Swiss on Day 1 set the cut. Day 2 is single elimination.

Six rounds
of Swiss

  • 6 Swiss rounds, 60 minutes each — regulation length.
  • All three matches are played simultaneously. The first team to win 2 takes the round; the third match doesn't need to be finished.
  • Teammates may communicate at all times.
  • Players' meeting at 8:45 AM sharp.
  • Swiss standings set the bracket for Sunday.

Day 2 · Sunday, Aug 23 · 9 AM – 5 PM

Cut to single
elimination

  • Top 32 teams advance to Day 2 (64 if more than 128 teams register).
  • All of Day 2 will be single elimination.
  • Payout extends to every Day 2 team. The ladder below is the guaranteed minimum.

The pool grows as teams register, and every increase is announced. If more than 128 teams enter, the cut expands to a Top 64 and payouts for 33rd–64th are announced at the cut.

Registration is open on Topdeck. The team captain registers and invites their two teammates. Day 1 player meeting begins 8:45 AM sharp.

A guaranteed $15,000 paid to every team that reaches Day 2, topping out at $2,100 for the champion trio.

With the cEDH 25K, the $4K Redemption and the $3K Legacy & Premodern Opens, Breach the Bay 2 pays out over $50,000 across the weekend.
